Tamryn flies through the air towards her partner, Torin. Either he will catch her, or she will fall to her death. Her fingers wrap around his wrists and she tips backward, forcing a smile to the screaming mob that fills the Big Top. The music rises to a crescendo and for this brief moment, she is safe in Torin's arms. He is the one who has protected her through their eight years of enslavement to the circus, keeping her warm at night and shielding her from abuse. His embrace is the only home she's ever known. Until the music changes, and he lets go.
