Friend Compendium is a compilation of two featured stories and three short stories. In Friend, 14-year-old Lorie Tebo has lived exactly fourteen years with one friend. Her friend's name is Friend, and nobody else can see him. In The Red Knight, villagers caught in the middle of a war must defend against a ruthless mercenary band looking to plunder. The band is led by a man known as the Red Knight, who earned the moniker for his reputation of staining his cloak red with the blood of his kills.
