Marmalade August and her friends Louise and Gentilly are going to summer camp. After surviving a day at Brand Glenue Academy where all myths came true unleashing storms, demons, and all manner of supernatural events, Marmalade was told cryptically that she would soon face trials. Trials by them. What trials, and who they or them are remain a mystery, but as her sumer vacation opens she encounters omens and portents that lead her on an adventure more remarkable than she could ever have anticipated, and closer to a destiny she could have never imagined.
