Roy Weed and Courtney Tobert are eighteen and very much in love. Courtney is a lovely girl from a well-to-do family, Roy a poor boy from the wrong side of town. But Roy is very bright and has been named most-likely-to-succeed and valedictorian of his graduating class. Their prospects of a happy life together look promising. But there's one big problem, Courtney's older brother, Wesley. An elitist and a snob, Wesley despises Roy and is determined to break up the romance. Trouble follows. Wesley and his friends cook up a scheme designed to show Courtney what a mistake she's making, but the plan backfires horribly, getting one person killed and landing another in jail.
