Are committed, mature, believing Christians who serve the Lord vulnerable to the varied emotions that affect everyone else? Should not people who are truly people of faith be able to withstand the emotional swings common to others? It seems at times that people have this attitude that if one is depressed it is because they are not truly spiritual and that they are not true laborers for the Kingdom of God. But, is that the case in the Bible? Is it possible that some people who love God and are used mightily by God also experience times of deep anguish and even depression in their lives? How does one reach such a point? How does God respond? How does God restore?
