Billy Stevens awoke one night to hear somebody moving things around downstairs. He knew immediately that this intruder was the one who had been breaking into other houses in the neighborhood and opening every drawer in the house and scattering the contents on the floor. The strange thing was that he stole nothing. Was he crazy or was he looking for something, and, if so what could he be looking for? Billy awakened Mike his brother, and they devised a plan to capture the intruder. They feared he might soon come up the stairs and that he might be armed. The story tells of how a man can become a criminal and the strange way he was trying to fulfill his dreams of riches.
