There is nothing as exciting to one group of birds than the prospect of a meeting with man because such meetings guaranteed danger and excitement. The fish, birds, and animals are concerned about their loss of identity, their species adapting to living alongside man in cities, the young no longer respecting the elders, and the continuing threat of extinction to some of their species. To address the problems they first need to discover the source and purpose of their existence, and it is man that has the answers but man has two sets of beliefs, and they wanted to hear both. Groups are formed within the ranks of the fish, birds, and animals to meet with man, and also to examine what they are taught by man. A group of animals that was assigned to meet with man foregoes the meeting because the information coming from man originated a member of the group. Which animal is this, and what does he know?
