Robin, newly knighted, goes to take possession of the lands awarded to him by King Henry, which had formerly belonged to a rebel knight. Felicia is deeply suspicious of this royal gift, and her fears seem to be well-founded. The house and lands are badly cared for, the servants mutinous, and to make things worse, it appears that there is a child-spoiler in the vicinity. Felicia and Robin need to bring their unruly dependents into line and, at the same time, uncover the identity of a cruel and evil man before any more little girls of Emma's age disappear.
