As an incurable romantic, I have yet to hear a voice, a representation, for the die-hard, closet romantic. Hence my book "Poems for Lovers and Others: The Romance Renaissance" is a call for all romantics to come out of the closet! In light of all what's happening to today's world, with its focus on sex and sexuality - and everything in between - surely, this is the right time to bravely raise love's banner and to pioneer a relaunch of romanticism! I believe it is time to find and fall in love with love once again. It's time to imagine long walks, holding hands, sharing straws, watching the sunset all over again. It's time to give romance one last try and not to be ashamed of it. It's time to wear your heart on your sleeve and be proud to be a romantic! It's time to unashamedly look for someone to give your last jelly baby to. Yes, it's time for love! So welcome to my Book of Poems for Lovers and Others. It's a collection of poems penned during the journey of my own love renaissance over the past few decades, with its invariable twists and turns. There are the inevitable Eros-type poems, as well as a few sprinklings of Philia and Agape poems, which will resonate and connect with all readers. The aim of the book is to reawaken a love and romance renaissance; to get us back to the golden days of being able to love each other as we love ourselves.
