Spring Etta Edwards
I Wish You Would is the true story about life in the hood from a female's perspective. No matter what you call it, the hood, the ghetto, inner city or urban community, living in this environment is an experience like no other. Spring Etta Edwards will take you through her life experiences from birth on the north side of Chicago, to her family's move to the south side of Chicago and life in the Robert Taylor Housing Projects. Growing up in the Projects set the tone for what Spring would encounter in the real world. Not only did she have her first experience with gangbangers and random gun fire, but by the age of 11, she had her first experience with a sexual predator. At age 17, Spring was a virgin and had four separate encounters with sexually predators. She was coming to terms with the possibility of losing her virginity to a rapist. It was a fate worse than death to her. Just the thought of being attacked by some random stranger and forced to have sex for the first time was more than she could comprehend. Spring knew she had to take matters into her own hands and take control over whom and when she would lose her virginity. By the summer of her 17th birthday and by God's Grace, Spring was still a virgin; however, she had a boyfriend, and her fears of rape lessened as she dealt with the reality of dating, romance and what was waiting for her outside the projects. Spring's life experiences are subject matters women are dealing with today including bullying, sexual assault, incest, infidelity, murder and the loss of loved ones. Intended for mature audiences
