Grand Prix Murder
Mark T Sondrini
After two of his recent cold cases suddenly become somehow related by the murder/suicide of his two clients, Justinian spends some time with a new Chicago Homicide detective trying to discover what links the two victims. Justinian Kase is fascinated by Detective Sergeant Wanda Raines and he wants to get to know her a little better. The feeling seems to be mutual. Over a few friendly beers at the 12th District's watering hole he answers her question about how he became a PI in the first place. The evolution from a manufacturing company's project manager to a crime-solving investigator is not as far-fetched or as difficult as you might think. Justinian finds that he has a "knack" and that he likes solving puzzles of the human variety.
