Set in fictitious island of Run Mowa, South African political activist, Nkosana Zali takes us through a fast-paced political thriller on political succession battles. A young Harvard graduate, Achmet Muhammad, is shot and killed when his lawyers mount a spirited appeal case against a ten year sentence for a crime he did not commit. When he was sentenced, the president of his country, Nicos Muhlaba, was serving the last years of a mandatory two terms as both the leader of the country and of the ruling Run Mowa People's Party (RMPP). Several candidates were lining up to take over from him. A continent away, the State of Pan Arabia advertised a $4.5 billion (US) airport and airport city construction tender. These two events conspire to evince a ferocious and unrelenting pursuit for power and profit by the cunning and shady, driven, however, by the most unwitting and upstanding.
