In that series, I introduce Diredra, a talented Swordmaine who has spent her life achieving near perfection in the warrior arts. Her tale starts as she finishes a long journey up into the mountains of Italia, a journey that begins in Damascus, the City of Steel. Her father has brought her such a long way to escape danger, and to find the teaching his talented daughter needs to protect herself in the world of men.
