God didn't have to settle for the likes of the people I have chosen to write about in this book or the likes of us today to promote his love and forgiveness to the world. He deliberately chooses ordinary people, some with a multitude of sins attached to them to use as examples of how God can change them, bless them, and use them to bring salvation to others. As God shaped these biblical characters with all their flaws, he can do the same with those he chooses to touch and conform to the image of Christ today. God chose to minister to the human race, not usually through the saints or the super-blest, but through sinners, misfits, and sorry excuses of humanity. His choice was, and is not, because we are good honest people, but because we all want to be. You see, he sees the heart and it's condition. That is where the difference is made. In the heart. We, as well as the biblical characters in the Bible, are not accidents, we are a divine choice.
