This book was written from the viewpoint of a Consumer Advocate, to satisfy an identified need for answers to basic questions on genetically modified foods, which prior to this, has not been available in this format to Consumers. The Reader will not see or be challenged by chemical formulae or any unnecessary scientific terminologies. The book provides concise easily read answers to relevant questions, whilst pointing to areas in which positive action from Governance is urged, and others where the reader might, if so desire, engage in deeper research. The writer is not anti-science, but is insistent that products and services should be rigidly safety assessed and properly labeled before it is introduced into the environment for consumption of animals and human beings. This effort also attempts to inform and motivate Consumers on the need to be informed and conscious in making buying decisions and to the realization that we are all a part of God's Creation. Carlton Stewart is a graduate in Management from the University of the West Indies and has a Certificate in Marketing from the College of Arts Science and Technology. He is a Consultant and Business Service Provider and has traveled extensively to markets in the Caribbean, Africa, USA Britain, Haiti, Belize and Puerto Rico. Mr. Stewart is a Lecturer in Sales /Marketing and Consumerism. A member of the H. E. A. R. T Entrepreneurship Lead Group and the Credit Union's Credit Committee. As a Consumer Advocate, former President of the National Consumers' League and founding executive of the Caribbean Consumer Council he has presented papers on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR ISO 26000). Intellectual Property Rights and Genetically Modified Foods to the Scientific Research Council and on the Terrorism Act, Credit Reporting Act, Tax Reform to Joint Select Committees of the Jamaican Parliament.
