I have spent many years learning about Life and its many faces. I have always held that the only road to enlightenment (if there is such a thing) is to view life through as many and varied perspectives as possible. To triangulate reality and our interactions with it, so to speak. Simply put, that is my intent. To hold a mirror to the world, and see what shines back. So, this book is a river, a spiral in the sand. It flows from chaos to order, from darkness to light. Yet there is no true separation of what is chaos or what is light, neither what is good nor what is ordered. The various pieces collected here, are simply put where they seemed to fit. And I think you'll find, that if read in that way, it may lead you to some interesting conclusions. But even if you don't, I can sincerely say that I think you will find something here that will please you. Finally, I would like to say that these poems were written a long time ago while I was still working out life. I can't say that I still hold all the beliefs that are presented here. Some I do. Some have shifted away, sand drawn out to sea. But I still find value in their youthfulness-the aura of the quest that eventually led to me.
