At the age of 20 years, Sakunthala Subashinie has earned the title of the best up and coming film actress of the Sinhalese Cinema Industry surpassing all the other contemporary young film actresses by adhering to and maintaining the best moral standards and cultural norms and thus accepting only the film roles that conform to these refined cultural standards. Although many cinematic photographers endeavoured to capture her on their cameras either in the nude, semi-nude, topless or scantily dressed attire, they became failures until one such photographer claimed that he was successful in doing so and published several such photos of Sakunthala. However, when she gracefully scoffed off the idea that they do not belong to her, many other photographers also became sceptical about their authenticity. However, when some renowned paparazzi's stealthily entered the scene with a large number of photos portraying her in various poses of penetrative sexual intercourse with many stalwarts of the cinema industry, unable to face the stigmatic and ignominious situation thus arose, she went into hiding. Meanwhile, in Mawanella, more than 50 miles away from the Capital Colombo, a dead body of a young girl somewhat resembling the missing Sakunthala was found. Thereafter, the Police become confronted with five gruesome serial murders of young men who are Software Engineers produced by the same International Institute. Although it seems that the first victim of this serial killing carried on a love/sex affair with a young girl student of his bearing the same name Sakunthala, some time back, it never materialized. Also, it was reported that another girl resembling Sakunthala had purchased a manna-knife, similar to the weapon used to kill the last victim by splitting his head into two. A few days later, people witness at a city sea-beach at dusk, a young girl resembling Sakunthala disintegrating into mere dust and withering away. The Police are baffled at this paranormal phenomenon and seek the advice of an erudite Professor in Parapsychology to solve this enigmatic problem involving the serial murders.
