The L.A. Teen Project Shelly Blaine Blaisdell

Most books claiming to interview teens are paraphrased by the interviewer. The L. A. Teen Project offers the direct transcription of forty-two kids from all across Los Angeles as they answer questions like: Have you ever felt God? How committed are you to safe sex? What would you change about school? Are any of your friends gay or transgendered? What is being bought and sold at school? What do your parents not know about you? What is your biggest responsibility and are you using credit cards? If you are a parent or teacher or policy maker in the education or healthcare system, this book is a must read. The L. A. Teen Project has been used in several counseling centers and high school classrooms in Los Angeles.
