I found this beautiful dog on the internet: she stole my heart and I adopted her. She was very inquisitive, investigating my apartment. I wondered if she was hyperactive because she went so rapidly from one thing to another. At the dog park, she proved to be a very fast runner. While trainable, she was a challenge and the comings and goings encountered in adopting a shelter dog and in developing that dog to have a job as a therapy dog were many. This book describes these interactions with Ginger, beginning with her running away when the door was open, to attending dog training classes in obedience, and finally, to learning how to be a therapy dog.
