Hallie McKee's relationship with Nick Jones, Dallas' lead homicide investigator, may just be chilling along with the February weather. Between a winter storm, a string of racially motivated murders that has set the city on edge, and a fresh new 20-something female detective in his office, Nick's life is more than full. In the meantime, Hallie and best friend Bonnie Forysthe have added home staging to services they offer at Vintage Therapy. Currently, they're trying to restage a home in Dallas' Highland Park neighborhood for a quick sale, but things are off to a rough start. The owners, Patrice and Donaldson Harrison, are fond of their pets and numerous collections that run the gamut from antique clocks and miniature train sets to china ballerinas and ceramic cookie jars. It's a confusing mess that doesn't get any better when mayhem and murder intervene. Like the winter weather, Hallie is facing a storm of her own, and she's crushed.
