If failure was impossible, what would you like to achieve? Years ago, I read this quote and it stuck with me. After a few days of meditating on this goal, I approached my husband and asked him if we could pack up and move to Australia. This was a wild idea. After all, we both had phenomenal jobs and we lived in Santa Barbara, California...paradise for so many. Yet, my heart was yearning for a simpler life. I created a vision board of what our lives would be like. We would start a family, own a farm (I know! Crazy for someone who has spent her entire working life in the corporate nonprofit world.) and slow down so that we would work to live instead of live to work. After meditating, I discovered that I needed to keep my hands busy as I pondered what success would look like in the future and I started coloring in mandalas for meditation. Fast forward 10 years. We now live on our dream farm just 10 minutes from the city. I work from home writing books, online courses, and focus on finding inspiration every day.
