An elderly couple were found burned to death in their mountain cabin the result of arson. A large sum of money found near their bodies was felt to be from narcotics that the old couple had found. Another murder was necessary to avoid discovery of the crime, but ultimately a code was found in the newspapers that was used by the smugglers to communicate with one another. This lead to the discovery of the murderers and smugglers.
