Hike along with Tommy and his Grandpa as they journey into the magnificent Arizona desert in search of gold and mysterious creatures Grandpa saw many years before. These creatures resembled small dogs that ran eerily fast at sunset--then they vanished. The early pioneers also saw these creatures and called them ghost dogs. This is an adventure full of surprises where Tommy and Grandpa face one challenge after another, and where the special bond of grandfather and grandson is strengthened. The desert has much to teach Tommy, and he discovers the desert also hides secrets. It is in the desert where Tommy finds something priceless, something only he could find.
