In the busy pace of many people's lives, trying to keep up with a daily devotional in addition to reading Scripture, praying, and journaling can be daunting to say the least. If you miss a few days, let's face it, it's hard to catch up! Bottom Shelf is written with today's busy lifestyles in mind. By reading two short chapters a week that are filled with rich, yet accessible, everyday lessons, you can take more time to "digest what you ingest," and not feel rushed to move on to the next chapter. Bottom Shelf comes from a phrase made popular by Dr. Howard Hendricks who believed that truth should be available to everyone, regardless of background, education, or status. Everyday lessons should be kept on the bottom shelf, so they are within everyone's reach. Rick Grover currently serves as the Lead Pastor of East 91st Street Christian Church (east91st.org) in Indianapolis, IN. He is happily married and has three beautiful children who are chasing after the heart of Jesus. Rick received his undergraduate degree at Manhattan Christian College (Kansas), a Master of Arts in Theology/Philosophy from Lincoln Christian Seminary (Illinois), and the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Emmanuel Christian Seminary (Tennessee).
