Ben White is a police officer for the S. F. P. D.



It's Thursday afternoon and he's sitting by the phone, holding down the fort while the rest of his platoon from the Central Station is out supporting the homicide inspectors who are investigating a couple of murders at the Colombo Market on Front Street.



When the phone finally does ring, it's a Lt. Mike Robertson from the North Station who's in the neighborhood and has a proposition for Ben. One that the lieutenant promises Ben will want to take him up on.



Little does Ben know that everything he wants is about to come his way while everything he has is about to fall apart as he discovers who he is and who he can become with a true love in his life.
