A Journey in Kyushu Johannes Lauber

Kyushu is the third biggest island of Japan and most southwesterly of its four main islands. Of all the Japanese islands, Kyushu has a particularly interesting history, as it has always been the gateway to Japan. But Kyushu also offers extraordinary scenic beauty. My interest is in the drama of the natural world. It is apparent that I chose my time to acquire a particular quality of light, which adds to the visual excitement of my photographs.
