A gritty Police Detective story set in the suburbs and streets of the cities of Sydney and Melbourne Australia. The detectives pursue and battle with criminals who use not only conventional weapons but also supernatural powers to assist them with their criminal enterprises. Detective Jim Murnaghan working for the NSW Police in Sydney Australia is currently trying to solve a number of cases, missing persons, break and enters, and a home invasion. He is surprised and a little embarrassed when his partner returns from interviewing a suspect with the news that the suspect, an Irishman working at a fairground locally, has requested that he repeat a part of what sounds like an affectionate poem to Murnaghan when he returns to the Police Station. The surprise and concerns become deeper when Murnaghan learns from his relatives in Ireland that the poem he has received is the first stanza of an ancient Celtic curse! Murnaghan's contact with these relatives via Skype helps him tremendously with his pursuit of this villain. One of his relatives is a traditional Irish storyteller, a Sennachie, with the powers of second sight. This is then the start of a long pursuit throughout Sydney and Melbourne where the detectives are tested to their utmost in numerous gun battles and chases with the Irish criminal adept and his accomplices, who use high explosives, grenades, guns, and occult powers to prevent their apprehension.
