Then on the 6th January 1942, Bombs fell on the Changi Area of Singapore and all Hell let Loose!Britain and her Allies were at WAR in the Far East - With The Imperial Might of the Japan Forces!Following a very short duration of fighting & a calamitous retreat through Malaya, suddenly 90,000 Allied Servicemen and a vast population of Civilians, were incarcerated by an insidious Enemy, & led into a form of Captivity. This was more akin to Slavery, with the brutality, & inhuman behaviour meted out to them! Sickening & Endemic Illnesses & no Medicines with which to treat them became rife. The inhuman treatment & disease cared not for whom it struck & was a regular Visitor for all. But always lingering in the wings, there hovered the one thing most feared by all - The Shadow of Death.
