It may be true that while traveling, one accepts. I have found the obverse also to be the case in Japan, and even more so in Thailand, Laos and Myanmar, where the traveler is welcomed by everyone and everything. These poems are articulations of explorations of physical, emotional and spiritual (if these be perchance at all different), far away, allowing animate and inanimate voices to be heard, which eventually coalesced into a Single Presence.
