Rocky Road tells the compelling story of Dixie Dean's continuing march through RAF tours and life changes, culminating in commissioning as an officer in 1976. Yet, there is no escape from the old adage, 'The higher you climb, the harder you fall'. Dean's fall is hard, very hard - from confident NCO to respected Senior Officer to disoriented civilian, and his journey along this rocky road is accompanied by the slow and painful finality of the loss of his beloved wife, Ann.
