This book underscores the integral role of the gastrointestinal tract and its maintenance to lifelong physical wellbeing. It also serves to remind us that neglecting health by not paying attention to the food which enters our systems may cause irreparable damage to the stomach as well as to the body. It not only advises on gastrointestinal tract system management but also on how to reverse the damage from disease and systemic harm due to bad habits. The core messages of this book can be boiled down to the following 4 points. Firstly, the neurogenic, functional gastrointestinal tract disorder, that has been difficult to diagnose and therefore hard to treat, is actually because of the damaged 'middle zone' of mucous outer wall of the stomach. Secondly, various causes may destroy the protective measures of mucosal outer wall of stomach and intestine. I called this finding 'the most important event' in the medical history. It is because, once the protective shield of gastrointestinal tube is destroyed, the innumerous poisonous substances that have entered the stomach and intestine can spread throughout the whole body and cause many kinds of diseases. Thirdly, lots of hard to treat chronic diseases, because of its causes and pathological mechanisms are not clear, have something to do with phlegm mass disorder. Fourthly, the most typical cause of damage of mucosal gastrointestinal protective shield is the bad habit of eating and intake of poisonous food. Therefore, improving one's diet is crucial.
