The War on Terror has only exacerbated the state violence and spread terrorism all over the globe, creating terrorists where none had previously existed. The state then cites the new terrorists as cause for more military assaults in foreign lands, causing desperation that is fertile territory for terrorist response, thus continuing a cycle of perpetual terrorism and war-official state terrorism. Meanwhile, back in the United States, the government continues to eviscerate constitutional freedoms in the name of national security; the freedom of the press or freedom from unwarranted searches mean little in the age of omnipresent state surveillance and judges recommended by such dark and authoritarian organizations as the Federalist Society, funded by authoritarian corporate power brokers.
