The author of this book, Walter A. Whitehurst, is a retired United Methodist pastor and has served as a missionary in Chile, South America. His love of his hometown led him to return to Pungo Village upon his retirement in a rural community located within the City of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Walter and his wife, Betty, now live on the very spot where he was born and raised. Walter began writing down stories of the people, pets and places of Pungo and offers more insights and events of that special little village in this third volume.
