Brooklands Books Ltd. has been publishing road test portfolios on a wide range of automobiles and motorcycles since the early 1950's and the series now runs in excess of 500 titles. In the past, these books were printed by conventional methods which necessitated long print runs in order to produce a book that could be marketed at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, once that initial print run had been sold, it was not economically viable to reprint smaller quantities conventionally so many of these titles became out-of-print and unavailable. The introduction of digital book publishing, now commonly know as print-on-demand created the possibility to reprint titles that have been unavailable for many years and VelocePress is proud to be associated with Brooklands Books in the republishing of these road test portfolios. Typically the contents include road tests, track tests, new model reviews, competitor comparisons, owner commentary, driving impressions, specifications, performance data, design and styling articles and advice on acquiring a good pre-owned example.
