Hope. For many, its value is equivalent to prestige and wealth, but for those whose lives have been ravaged by addiction it is almost like a fleeting wind.

Author and pastor Rosalind Tompkins explains the necessity of hope in turning desperate situations around in her latest release, As Long As There is Breath in Your Body There Is Hope.

Based on the authors compelling testimony of being freed from years of substance abuse that included crack cocaine, she writes, ?Out of my brokenness I began to search for answers and help?I surrendered my will to the will of the Lord Jesus Christ and I said to the Lord, ?I give up.? Whatever you want me to do, I will do it. I fell on the Rock of my salvation!?

Written in an easy-to-read style, As Long As There Is Breath in Your Body There Is Hope contains testimonies and ?pearls of wisdom,? lessons gleaned from the author?s personal journey of obtaining freedom from the power of addiction.

Among the many topics covered in the book are:

  • The role of unity and how it can change lives and communities
  • What can be learned from experiences with unhappy living conditions
  • The power of prayer
