The year is 1873, and the little town of Whitegrass, Texas, located on the Pecos River, is chock full of hope and ambition. Reverend Josh Hill and his wife, Sarah, minister to a small congregation at the Whitegrass Community Church. Like their congregants, they hope for a bright future, a future they're only too willing to work toward.
