Donald and I embarked on this journey in June 2006 and it continues today for me as I walk through the seven stages of grief. Throughout this time Donald and I experienced many ups and downs, victories and devastation and the loss of many dreams. I wrote this book to be an encouragement to all that reads it. I opened myself up and included my personal journal entries and e-mails that were written during this time in hopes that everyone who reads this will get a better understanding that grief is real, and we need to be true to those feelings.
