I shy away from using the word "Poem," I prefer to use the word "Rhyme." Though some of these pieces are certainly poems, there's little or no controversy, profundity, inimicalness, or resentment. Just a few political references. So much of today's poetry is over my head, not a difficult feat, but you won't find that in this book. Except for "Alias the Rose" you could read anything in this book in your Sunday school class. I didn't start writing until after I retired and my wife passed away. So being a dirty old m... I mean seasoned citizen, most of these rhymes are geared toward seniors and living in a retirement community. Any of the rhymes that have the term "Villager" or "The Villages," refer to the retirement community where I live. Most of these pieces were conjured up while sitting in my driveway watching the world pass me by and working my way through a six-pack and a cigar. Something I heard or read stuck in my feeble mind and like an Oreo cookie I'd get the top and the bottom and then fill in the middle. The stories, some are fiction and some are anecdotes from my childhood.
