Indianapolis was founded in 1821 and became the state capital in 1825. Casually known as Indy or Naptown, Indianapolis is the largest city in the Hoosier State, with over 800,000 residents. The Circle City has roughly thirty museums to select from and over 180 listings on the National Register of Historic Places. It is indeed a history buff's kind of town.
