Understanding Our Spiritual Growth: A Seven Step Journey to Spiritual Maturity Charles Walls

For years, as a Christian, I did not know how to determine my spiritual growth. Like so
many others, being spiritual meant having been baptized, going to church, taking part in
the activities at the church made available to the members, such as mission, prayer
meeting, Bible study, brotherhood, choir, Sunday school, training union, going to
association and convention meetings, participating in Bible drills, Easter plays and
programs, Christmas speeches, plays, and programs, bake sales, raising money through
various type of efforts, and annual programs of the church. If we were blessed to have
opportunities to take church sponsored trips to different states to visit historical sites, we
felt we were doing the things that would develop us spiritually. Little did I know that
spiritual growth was an entirely different experience. Let's go on a journey...
