This book offers an integrative approach for treating and managing various disorders and conditions in children that OTs encounter in their practice. In this book I included traditional occupational therapy intervention along with complimentary strategies, such as the use of essential oils, crystal therapy, mindfulness, meditation, breathing, and visualization. In addition, dietary supplement suggestions and specific diet limitations are discussed to promote children's development and wellbeing. Play-based learning, purposeful routines and activities are incorporated in this book to provide parents and caregivers with valuable recommendations in meeting children's outcomes.

I am a firm believer in treating the whole child in their environment, incorporating the child and family's routines and priorities based on strengths, while addressing their needs. Coaching parents, teachers, and caregivers is one of the most important aspects of the OT intervention to assure that implementation of appropriate strategies takes place on a regular basis at home and school.

This book is written as a guide for parents, teachers, caregivers, and other professionals and should be frequently used. Topics covered include sensory processing strategies, feeding skills, effects of toxins, fine motor activities, play skills, social skills, sensory diet, self-help routines, mealtime routines/ strategies, vision boards, classroom accommodations, attention, participation, and focus.
