With dashed dreams, Detective Franklin Benjamin leaves the force in search of job security and financial stability. After following his former lieutenant to a new career across town, he quickly discovers his investigative skills are even more needed on the workroom floor of the U. S. Postal Service, where intrigue and crime are buried like dirty secrets at the bottom of a sack of junk mail.




His fix-it mentality gets him branded "The Mechanic"... but there are many for whom the fix was already in, and they don't appreciate Franklin's unwavering moral compass.
