Strength in Grief
Helen L Chadbourne
Bree Edwards lost everything - her home, husband, and best friend Morgan Wiley, when a tornado outbreak ravaged the small town of Whitton, Texas. The guilt she feels over this loss is almost more than she can bear. During the outbreak a new power, a protective blue light, surrounded her and her children saving them, apparently a new addition to her freakish visions that she had been having since she was a teen. Ryder Wylie lost his wife and best friend Mark Edwards in the tornado outbreak. While Bree, his long-time friend, had not been killed by the tornados, she was just as lost to him because in a moment of confusion, grief and rage he lost control and hurt her. During this horrible time of grief and pain, Bree and Ryder are punishing themselves, unable to forgive themselves for the pain they have caused each other. Ryder does not blame Bree for the loss of his wife or best friend, how could he? Bree doesn't blame Ryder for hurting her, she deserved it for causing the deaths of his wife and best friend. Will they be able to get past their guilt and regain their lost friendship? Could they perhaps find something even stronger?
