The literature review presents an overview of the IR technology, a review on the challenges and development of IR lasers and detectors, a review of III-V semiconductors in IR technology, methods for wavelength tuning in laser diodes and progress in GaAsx Sb1 -x and Al Asx Sb1-x material research.
