Virgil Hammerand was born on a farm in 1931, during the Great Depression, in eastern Iowa. He is an avid storyteller and entertained his children and grandchildren with stories of the "good ole days." With encouragement from family and friends, Virgil collected his life experiences for all to enjoy.
