This book you are holding in your hands, is the wrestling mat between me and God. What happens after you respond to the calling God has over your life? Instead of constantly moving forward and backward, I feel myself going around and around in an upward spiral. The glorious thing is that when awake from a dry spell, we awake more and more alive each time God brings us back. Each time he takes us back to the simplicity of the gospel and the Gospel becomes sweeter and sweeter. This poetry book tackles break-ups, heart issues, blue collar work, and most importantly, growing in Christ in a very honest and real way. Most poetry books of this generation are very good at describing the depravity and hurt we feel as humans but very few provide a healing over those wounds that will last.
