Rebeca, a twenty-three-year-old photographer and journalist, decided to move back home to the small island of Capella to help her mother and face her fear. Rebeca had moved away after watching her father and brother die, but now she feared that there was more to their death than just an accidental boat fire. Now back home, Rebeca is determined to find out the truth and sets up shop in her hometown.



Rebeca finds herself in her best friend's wedding just a few days after arriving, and not realizing that her life was about to change for better or worse, she is introduced to Kevin, a lonely man living off the sea. Rebeca is instantly attracted to him, but there seems to be something about him, almost as if she knew him.
