Christina is unhappy with her life. She always did what she thought she was supposed to do. She went to college and got good grades, but still just lives at home. She though for sure she'd be doing something with her life, but she is just a server. Worse came to worse she thought at least Prince Charming would come rescue her, but her relationships have been less happily-ever-after and more one-night-standish. While everyone always tells her how great she is, in her experience people just don't stay. Eventually something has to change, something has to be different, but what?Jade however is just used to being unhappy. She was content being the bitch at work if it meant that nobody really bothered her. Besides, when you're a lesbian with a baby daddy there tends to be questions that you just aren't prepared to answer. It's really just easier to stay alone. While she did have a few friends at work, they tended to be guys and they knew that they had no shot. Her daughter is her world so in the end, as long as her little girl was happy, what did it matter if her smile was fake? Christina saw Jade like no one else did. She saw that her smile was fake. She saw that her bitchiness was fake. She saw Jade take care of her little girl and she knew that there was more than what meets the eye. What started out as a nice gesture by Christina to get a real smile from Jade, turned into gaining a crush and an admirer. Before either of them knew it, their admiration turned into friendship. Then just like that, the feelings grew into something that neither of them expected, least of all Christina.
