Soccer All-Stars Don Beers

Jason is the fastest kid on his neighborhood soccer team. Tom is his best friend. Tom and Jason are their team's two forwards ("strikers") and Tom is the league's leading scorer. Their team, the Tigers, manages to win the league championship against the Eagles, but Jason is amazed by a shot made by the Eagles' striker, Yuri. He is also disturbed to discover that Yuri is faster than Jason. At the end of the game, the coach announces that Jason and Tom had been elected to the All-Star team, which takes two players from each league team. But Yuri is also named and there will be cuts before the All-Stars play and some who are not cut will sit on the bench during the games the All-Stars play. Will the All-Star win the championship? Will their friendships survive?
