After being branded a witch by her own village and escaping along with her cousin Anders and his dark elf wife Nixius, Raghilde decides that she needs to use her Orb of Power in a better way by uniting the four kingdoms under her control. While she hopes to eliminate warring among her people she is torn in every direction by her own choices and the reality that she is not infallible. When a prophetic vision of her death from her childhood seems to come true she learns that she was betrayed and it causes her to shake the foundations of Yggdrasil in a warning to all.
